An old cinema hall in a prime location was lying in a dilapidated condition. The owners decided to revamp it. After due consideration it was decided to convert it into a banquet hall that would give and receive support from the adjoining hotel owned by the same owners. The program consisted of a reception lobby, a hall that seated 450 people and suitable for both large conferences and functions like marriages and other parties. A private area for changing rooms was incorporated in the plan. A separate area was allocated for dining facilities. The simple design making use of the available heights but at the same time care was taken that the elements and material were such that in long run the initial appearance of the place stayed.
